Cozy Up With Some Good Books

Thankful was a super fun book. Reminded me to be thankful for things in my everyday life. I don't think it is too early to instill our kids to be thankful.

We will be reading this book several times over the next few months!

Thanks to BookLook Bloggers for a copy of Thankful.

Apartment Therapy Complete and Happy Home was a fun look through. I kinda felt like I was looking through a huge magazine full of design ideas. If you know anything about me, I need some design ideas!

There were also tips in the book for those people who lived in apartments. Things that could be a quick fix for people who can't do a lot because they don't own.

Thanks to Blogging for Books for a copy of Apartment Therapy Complete and Happy Home in exchange for an honest review.

I am amazed by the honesty of Mark in The Tank Man's Son: A Memoir. This book made me thankful for my dad who loved and cared for me. Mark's dad was abusive physically and verbally. Some of the stories he shared were horrible. I can't imagine sitting face to face with him as he recalled those stories. I would have been in shock. It was good for me to hear, though, how some of these people are raised.

The one thing that amazed me the most was at the end of the book, he shared how being raised by his dad prepared him for the ministry that God had for him in Cambodia during war times. I am sure I would not have had the great attitude that he had. Challenging.
