Cozy Up With Some Good Books

Brave Queen Esther was a fun book to read with Esther. I loved all the pictures that were in the book. The story line was also interesting. The book kept my little one's attention, but yet told the story well.

There were a few things that bothered me, that seems to be a theme with kid's books, part of the story was not Biblically accurate. For example, Haman was arrested and not killed.

Thanks to BookLook Bloggers for a copy of Brave Queen Esther.

When originally given the opportunity to review this book, I was thinking it was by Dr. Kevin Lehman, When I dug it out to start reading, I realized that it wasn't. Despite that fact, I was not dissapointed!

More Than Just the Talk: Becoming Your Kids' Go-To Person About Sex was an excellent book. While I know this topic is not one I will have to deal with for a few years, it was good for me to think about how we will broach the subject. Jonathan talks a lot about how this is not a one time talk, but a conversation that needs to be throughout years. Questions to the child are huge.

I hadn't realized how accessible not appropriate matter is. Grand Theft Auto. Oh my! I never realized that gamers find a prostitute, choose the kind of sex you have with her, then kill her. I didn't realize how graphic. Yikes! And that is just the start.

This book will definitely get kept for future reference.

Thank you to Bethany House for this book in exchange for an honest review.
