Book Reviews

Sometimes, I wish we could go back to the late 1800s that are presented in A Moment in Time. I know they had a hard life, but they also did not have all the distractions pulling our attention away.

One of the characters did have a baby in this book. Since I just had a baby, I was thankful for the modern conveniences that I do have. I can't image just having a family member deliver at home.

Tracie Peterson did a great job of keeping my interest in this book. I love that the characters face hardship, but that they are faithful in coming back to God.

I received this book from Bethany House in return for an honest review.

I hadn't really thought about all the added peer pressure that teens face in this time period. Have you seen some of the facebook pictures that teens post? What pressure to fit in with that crowd. Back in my day, I only had to fit in with the people I saw on a daily basis.

There was a line in the book that I really liked. "Now she knew that no one else in all the kingdom could satisfy her longing heart." This statement was a good reminder to me that I can only find my satisfaction in Christ. Nothing else will truly provide me satisfaction.

I received this book from Bethany House in exchange for an honest review.
