Cozy Up With Some Good Books

Jesus Calling for Little Ones is a perfect little book for my daughter right now. At almost a year, she is grabbing at pages and turning them. This can result in ripped pages! This book has thick pages that she can turn on her own. The pictures also attract the eye.

I like that on each page there is a Bible verse. There is also a section on each page that is in red that pulls out the main theme of the page. Have you ever been there that you are reading a little kids book and you are thinking about what all you need to do? This helps in cases like this to keep your focus.

Thanks to BookLook Bloggers for a copy of Jesus Calling for Little Ones in exchange for an honest review. We will have this book for many years to come.

The Wonder of His Name: 32 Life-Changing Names of Jesus is one of those books that I could cut apart and hang the pictures on the wall. Oh, I so sound like my Grandma! The calligraphy that is done in the book is great.

I think this book would make for a perfect coffee table book. The descriptions of the name of God are concise, but they still include a lot of details about what the names of God mean.

Thanks to Moody for a copy of The Wonder of His Name.

I accidentally requested The Midwife's Tale as an ebook. I have never read an ebook before, and I didn't like that I couldn't as easily curl up on the couch with this book. Needless to say, if this book wasn't any good, I probably wouldn't have kept reading the book.

I did enjoy hearing about what all is involved in a Midwife's life in this time period. Let me just say that as someone is pregnant right now, I am glad that I don't live in this time period. Who knew that blood letting was a common practice among pregnant women? Talk about being tired. I am pretty sure, I would be way tired!

Thanks to Bethany House for a copy of The Midwife's Tale.
