Cozy Up With Some Good Books

If you remember, I have been wanting to read a fiction book for a while, but didn't have one on hand. Was super excited when I got this one in the mail. Some days, I just need to sit down and let my mind unwind and I would rather do that sometimes with a good, clean fiction book than in front of the tv.

Cowgirl Trail filled that need in my life. The daughter in this book, Maggie, came home to find her dad dying and the men on the ranch ready to strike. She set up a group of cowgirls to take care of things on the ranch and the cattle drive. I loved her determination to do what needed done even if it shouldn't have been done by girls.

Thanks to Moody for a copy of Cowgirl Trail in exchange for an honest review.

I wish that the authors from Twenty Dinners would come over and make me a meal! Their food looks good but some of the foods are more than what I would make. Not really into the random sea foods out there. But would be fun for someone else to cook for me!

One recipe for roasting a chicken interested me. They fried the chicken in a cast iron skillet on all four sides before putting the chicken in the oven. Maybe some day I will have to try this method.

I received Twenty Dinners from Blogging for Books in exchange for an honest review.

  1. Sounds like two fun books - a good fiction always lightens my mood, glad you were able to find one you liked.
