Since our update in April, we have been able to pay $331 from our principle. Giving us a total of $5,485 for our year so far. $515 to go before July in order to hit our goal of 6 grand this year.
I have $200 more to put on the principle sitting at our house. Now to make it to the bank! Guess that will just have to make it on next months! Getting so close!
Scott and I were just talking last night about how once we pay off the house, we are going to start buying fresh roasted coffee again. Gotta have some kind of motivation, right!!
Fresh roasted coffee sounds good to me! :) You guys are doing a great job and inspiring others in the process!
ReplyDeleteThat first cup of coffee after we pay off the house will be fabulous!
DeleteYou have been doing a great job! Way to go! How exciting you are so close to your goal.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Shelly! I have enjoyed having a goal to work towards!
DeleteWay to go! We've been working towards our financial goals and I plan to talk about some of the things we have done/will continue to do this summer on the blog since we are chipping away at baby step 6 too. Bit by bit those snowflakes will add to your debt snowball and reduce the mortgage balance (and interest owed) forever. Way to go! Alright, I'm off to read your ebay tips...
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read what you write about paying off set, Jenny! I know that I look at our mortgage statement each month to see the difference in interest. Super exciting!
