Apprehension was what I first thought when I picked up this book, but as I read through, I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
Prayers were answered constantly throughout this book. Oh wait, God promises that He will answer our prayers doesn't He?
"And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14)
The Barricks were praying that their Daughter would be able to function completely like she had before she had her accident, but God had other plans. He did not answer their prayers as they were hoping, but He did answer their prayers in great ways.
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us," Eph 3:20
I am amazed how much Jen, the daughter, was dedicated to using her life to glorify God. She didn't care that her life wasn't back to perfect because she was able to use her life now to the fullest for God.
