Cozy Up With Some Good Books

My husband is in love with Chinese food. So many times, we think that we need to go out to get Chinese food. We have started to make ours at home. Man, it is so much cheaper. And if you don't have a good Chinese restaurant, our food from home is so much better. When I saw that Phoenix Claws and Jade Trees: Essential Techniques of Authentic Chinese Cooking was available to review, I was excited to check it out.

The recipe for sweet and sour sauce is the one recipe that I am the most excited about trying. There are a lot of recipes that are ones that I won't try cause they are more eccentric than I usually cook, but I am excited about those staple Chinese foods that we eat.

Thanks to Blogging for Books for a copy of Phoenix Claws and Jade Trees: Essential Techniques of Authentic Chinese Cooking in exchange for an honest review.

  1. We like chinese food, too, but almost never get it from a restaurant anymore. Instead, like you, we find ways to make it at home on occasion. :)
