Cozy Up With Some Good Books

Recently, I reviewed the book How to Love Your Neighbor Without Being Weird. Once I started reading, Staying is the New Going I couldn't help but wonder if God was trying to teach me something. Both of these books have to do with reaching out to those people who are around you. Scott and I talk about potentially moving at of our house. Because of this, sometimes, I forget that I need to invest in my neighbors.

This book had the main point of trying to find people where you are to reach out to. I was intrigued by the story of some young adult girls who moved into a rougher trailer park in order to be a witness to the residents. They had kids knocking on their door the day that they moved in. I know I don't view my city as enough of a mission field.

One quote I really liked in the book was "are you a character in the story of your neighborhood?"

Staying is the New Going was given to me by Tyndale in exchange for an honest review.

Five Traits of a Christ-Follower is a quick little devotional. The format kinda reminds me of the daily bread. What is different is that everything comes with a theme.

I have to be honest thought that I wish that the book were a little more in depth. Would be great for a quick devotional.
