Cozy Up With Some Good Books

When I first opened the book, Believe Storybook, I fell in love with all the pictures. Definitely a fun book just to look through.

This book is divided up into chapters that ask questions about the spiritual life. Things like what is eternity and how do I know what God wants me to do. In every chapter, there is an Old Testament story, a transition section to the New Testament, a New Testament story, and section on what Jesus would think. If I were to choose an age group for this book, it would be about 2nd to 4th grade.

We will probably just read the stories to Esther for now, and let her grow into the other sections.

Thanks to BookLook Bloggers for a copy of Believe Storybook in exchange for an honest review.

One of my favorite aspects of the book is that it explains all of the tests and procedures that are happening. I remember with Esther going to the lab and asking the lady what the tests were for. She didn't know. I should have paid more attention at the ob. This book would have been helpful at figuring those out.

I also liked how each section had size of baby and how you may be feeling.

Thanks to Bloggin for Books for a copy of this book.

  1. Both of those books sound good! I especially like that the Believe Storybook shares stories from the Old Testament. Two of my favorite books of the Bible are 1 & 2 Samuel. :)

When I'm pregnant, I pretty much always have 1 or 2 reference books that I look at. Even though I've been pregnant 5 times, each pregnancy has been different. The Bump Book sounds like a good one for an expecting mom!

  2. Hmm very interesting. I will have to remember The Bump books for the next friend that asks for a recommendation as I've been giving them Belly Laughs, that while funny isn't really helpful, and some what off color... but still it's funny...

So glad I got to stop by tonight - it's been a while since I was in your corner Lydia!
