For the Love of Reading

Little Chick's Bible looks like a super fun book. The cover is enticing, the stories are cute and rhyming. I actually put the book in my diaper bag as more of a toy for my daughter. 

I have to admit though, this book does not look like it will hold up for very long. The fuzzy cover is just glued on the book. I think if I would have spent $15 on the book, I would have been disappointed.

Mothering From Scratch intrigued me from the beginning. This book talked about making your family your own and not trying to fit into the mold of other families. I really liked that this book was written by two women whose kids were older. They spoke from experience and shared many of their struggles.

I think the thing that I was most challenged by was making sure that I am finding time for myself. Important for the well being of my family. I actually wrote down on my list of things the other day to take a nap.
