Esther's First Birthday Party

If you aren't a fan of pictures, then you just might need to skip over this post! We had family over to help us celebrate Esther's first birthday. I also had a friend who was in town who stopped in for a quick visit. All of these pictures but one are thanks to her. Thanks, Ashley!

Happy 1st Birthday, Esther!

I have been thinking a lot recently about how God has blessed us with a daughter for a whole year. Kinda humbling! Why does God think that I can handle and train such a helpless little individual? I have been blessed every day by the joy that such a little, but not as little any more, girl can bring to your life. 

Weight: Mommy need to take you to the doctor, but I feel like you have gained a lot of weight in the last month.

Likes: You like to sit on the floor, and spin in circles.

Catch and throwing a ball has become a new favorite. You got a new fun ball for your birthday! 

You will walk as long as someone is holding your hands. You love to chase after your dog, Scarlet.

You like your milk in your cup. 

Thankfully, you like being in the rain. Makes you giggle to run into stores and get a little wet!

Dislikes: You still don't like being away from mommy and daddy, but you are doing better. You will finally let others hold you, sometimes. 

Firsts & Milestones: You make this funny noise with your mouth when trying to say mommy. 

Looking back, here is my update of Esther at 1 week and here is her birth story. Our first family picture is in there!  

 Digging things in and out of buckets and tubs entertains you for a long time!

Happy 11 Month Birthday, Esther!

Weight: 18.5 pounds

Likes: You love to play with your stacking cups.

You are really starting to enjoy eating. You love ice cream!

Dislikes: You hate when you poop. Usually, you end up screaming. 

Firsts & Milestones: You are now up to two teeth. 

You have started to attempt to walk when you are held up.

You have your own version of clapping and giving hugs. 


I didn't do the best at taking pictures this last month, and most of these aren't the best quality.

10 months have flown

I tried sticking the 10 month sticker on Esther, but she kept pulling it off!

Weight: 18.5 pounds

Likes: You love to wave, to be outside and sit in the grass, to be around mommy and daddy.

Dislikes: You don't like to be held by others if mommy and daddy are in the room.

Firsts & Milestones: You got your first tooth this month. You love to brush that tooth. 

You have figured out how to drink out a straw and love your sippy cup now.

Esther is 9 months!

Weight: 17.5 pounds- Not sure you have gained much but have gotten a lot longer. 

Social: You are very attached to mommy and daddy. There have been a few times in the nursery that you have made it through a whole service without crying. You warm up to others, it just takes you a while.

Likes: You love to stand and jump, with assistance.

You like getting solid foods. You would just eat Cheerios if you were allowed.

You like to be outside, but hate a lot of wind.

Dislikes: Tummy time. You will roll until you almost get to your belly, scare yourself, then roll back over.

Firsts & Milestones: 

On your 9 month birthday, you started waving. You cracked yourself up and wanted to wave all the time. 

Um, yes, my daughter is chewing on a fly swatter.
