Grumpy Mom Takes a Holiday {Book Review}

Grumpy Mom Takes a Holiday was a nonfiction book that actually kept me reading. I really enjoyed the book. There wasn't a lot of new information in there, but there was lots of things in this book that I needed to be reminded of. I could tell Valerie was right there with me and struggling with some things that I am struggling with and she gives great tips to overcome them.

One of the things that really stuck out to me, that I think our generation really struggles with is phone usage. One thing she does is to not get on her phone for an hour in the morning and for an hour after her kids naps. She said this helps to keep her from being so dependent on her phone. To me, this sounds very doable. These were the kind of practical tips that Valerie presented.

Thanks to Tyndale for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

  1. Sounds like an interesting book and good encouragement on the phone usage. I use my phone for so many things, I have to take intentional breaks, too. Thanks for sharing this review, Lydia! :)
