Cozy Up With Some Good Books

Win or Lose, I Love You! is a great book that I am sure will get a lot of use in the upcoming years. I loved the moral of the story that it doesn't matter if you win or lose, it matters how you respond. My favorite line in the book is "Coyote, you behaved badly, but you aren't bad."

One thing we have been trying to correct in our speech with Esther is when she does something good to say "good job" and and "good girl." Praising the character and not the person. Hard, because that is not what we as Americans do. This book went right along with that.

I really enjoyed Nine Thoughts That Can Change Your Marriage. I love Sheila's openness in discussing areas of marriage. I have enjoyed her blog To Love, Honor and Vacuum, and this book presented the same truths.

I know I needed these truths so that I can work on implementing them in my marriage. This book is one that will end up on my bookshelf for future reference.
